How much weight will I lose if I start to jog and do weight watchers?

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

I want to lose weight but I am not all about that diet pill stuff. I tried weight watchers before but I was really busy with getting things ready for my wedding that it was the last thing on my mind to eat right.
If I do weight watchers and run/gym how much weight do you think I would lose in about 2 weeks?

everyone body is different. Remember too if you decide to exercise you have to use your activity points calculator to determine how many extra points you get for the day. But everyone’s body loses weight at a different rate. Someone who jogs everyday while on weight watchers for two weeks could lose 5 lbs where are someone else could lose only 2. A bunch of different things factor into this including what you are eating everyday, how much activity you are doing, how fast your body reacts to exercise (some people need to exercise only days before seeing results while others need to exercise a month before seeing results) how fast your body gains muscle mass, how much water you are drinking, how much water your body retains after exercise and so on and do fourth so there is no way of knowing how much you will lose but cardio IS the best form of exercise for burning fat. Just make sure you are at least doing moderate exercising meaning you are pushing yourself but not too hard (just hard enough that you start to sweat after about 10-15 minutes) and doing at least a half hour of exercise each time.

Can you eat only fruits and veggies to lose weight?

I have to go to this wedding in a couple of months, and want to lose some weight. Is there a diet out there that drops pounds FAST? I have heard of the Size Zero Pill, but don’t know how to get it. Any ideas for weight loss? Thank you.

If you are really looking for the best weight loss diet, I suggest doing what this mom did, combining the Acai diet with a cleansing program for the best diet result

How to lose weight and fat without gaining muscle?

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

I’ve gained nearly 8 pounds over just a couple of months, and I would like to lose it again. Is there any diet or exercise that I can do to lose all of it over a month’s time? If it is an exercise, I just want to lose fat, but not gain muscle in it’s place, is that possible? Also, my target area is my arms where there is the most fat.
Also, I would prefer any exercise that can be done at home in short periods of time, multiple times.

Its strange to know that you dont want to gain muscle. If you start exercising, you will always put on a bit of muscle. It will only help you in your goald to lose weight.

here’s what you can do

1. Based on your age, figure out your Basic Metabolic Rate- you can do this easily online.

2. Your goal must be to aim for 500-750 (not more) calorie deficit each day through a combination of a good healthy diet and exercise

3. Eat your breakfast. Research shows that breakfast eaters lose more weight than those who do not.

4. Eat 4 -5 meals spaced out at intervals of 3-4 hours each day. This keeps your metabolism chugging well throughout the day.

5. Once every week, do a high calorie or a high carb day. Give into your cravings, have that pizza slice. just to give your body a break from the dieting and help you to stay on the wagon.

6. Exercise is must, if you want to keep the weight off and not just be subject to the yo yo diet syndrome. Cardio and Weight training – both forms of exercise must be included.

7. What you can do at home at bodyweight compound exercises as well as cardio style workouts. Some examples are squats, pushups, lunges, burpees, skipping, pullups chinups, spiderman pushups. Just scour the web for bodyweight exercises and you will surely get a lot more. Even better get some basic weights – a pair of dumbbells to start off and you can increase the number of exercises manifold.

The gut/arms/thighs are just a storage area. The concept of spot reduction is a myth. Our simple goal is to put our body in an energy deficit, through diet and exercise, so that our body will then have to dig into its reserves. That’s the gut, the hips, the legs, arms.

Again here, dont overdo the diet and skip the exercise. Our bodies are very smart. If they dont get enough food- presuming you go on a very low cal diet, our body tends to think that we are starving. Our metabolism goes down, the body then trys to hang on for dear life to the fat in our body. The exact opposite of what we aim for.

So eat well. Exercise well. Stay committed and you will melt that fat away.

Cheers!

How can I lose body fat quickly for a Biggest Loser competition at my work?

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

I am at 14% body fat currently and 170 lbs (I’m 6′2) and I need to drop down to 10% to win a "Biggest Loser" for body fat % competition at my work. I’ve lost almost 2% in two months up to now. How can I effectively lose 4% more in two months? I do weightlifting 3x a week and cardio at least 3x a week.

for long-term, do weight training because the more muscle you have, the higher rate your metabolism is
for short-term, do a ton of cardio because it burns off the energy your body took in for the day
also, eat really small portions every 3-4 hours. like 100-200 calories every few hours. this keeps your metabolism high and burns fat. also, drink a lot of ice water and try to eat more vegetables and fruits. stay away from sugar as much as possible.

How can i loose weight fast and easy?

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

I am an 18 years old male i weight about 350 pounds and im 5′9. I’m just tired and finally want to loose all this weight!
Pleas tell me an easy and fast way.

taking all that hydroxy cut crap really really is unhealthy….diet foods and drinks aren’t healthy either….cut back on meat and sugar…it raw vegetables and fruit and fruit juices…Look up what foods contain complex carbohydrates and eat them too…

Start walking outside everyday for half hour or an hour and and you will lose weight healthfully and it will stay off.

changing your diet is hard….but many have done it and so can you…i’m serious when I say natural foods are the best…my teacher lost like over 200 lbs by eating natural foods and walking or jogging every day….DIET SUPPLEMENTS are bad…seriously….lemme know if you want more info…. DRINK WATER TOO

Which machines should I use at the gym for fast weight loss and toning?

Wednesday, September 30th, 2009

I would like to lose 30 pounds by May 31st (my boyfriend’s sister’s wedding). Could someone please give me some tips for which machines burn fat most quickly etc. All tips for weight loss will help. Thanks!
I go to a 24 hour gym and am planning on working out about 4 times a week. Also, limiting my calorie intake to 1200-1500 calories per day. Any idea on how much weight I can lose if i do cardio for 1 hour each time I go to the gym along with some free weights?

Use cardio machines for 45 min to 1.5 hr intervals and for toning, use freeweights or machines – low weight, high rep
