Where can I buy a php or asp script that functions as Ediets for my website?

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

ediets offers its customers a personalized dieting program that they can follow online. They don’t need any real consultants, as everything is run from a massive script.

Try to search at http://www.php.org (requires free registration) — maybe, you will even find there something for free. If not, there are lots of links to the further search. If even this will not help — go to http://codeproject.com (also requires registration) where you will be able to order custom software for some funny price.

Anyone with info on the Renal Diet?

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

My sister has recently developed renal failure as a result of Remicade treatments for her Rheumatoid Arthritis. The hospital says she must follow the Renal Diet to save her from ending up on dialysis.
The diet seems very complicated…research gives conflicting information…what is allowed on one, isn’t allowed on another. I want to help her out as much as possible. Anybody have any experience with this and can you direct me to someplace that will give difinitive information?? Thank you.

SODIUM restrictions are paramount. It is literally impossible to take in NO sodium, because that’s an element found in so many foods, but it is possible to limit the amount in a diet. First, obviously high sodium foods must be eliminated. These include cured meats (ham, sausage, bacon, corned beef, and the like), most cheeses, "fast" foods, pickles, bouillon cubes, soy sauce, and most Chinese or oriental foods.

FLUIDS must be restricted. Your physician will set a limit for you, somewhere between four and eight cups maximum per day. Fluid is defined as anything that melts at room temperature, so in addition to water and juices, you must count ice cream, gelatin desserts, sherbet, and watermelon.

POTASSIUM counts, too, and it’s harder to control for several reasons. You can’t taste it, like you can salt, it’s not a required item to be listed in the nutritional contents of packaged food, and it’s in many foods.

PROTEIN plays an important role in the diet of any kidney patient. For those who are pre-dialysis, the amount must be limited to conserve kidney strength. After dialysis begins, however, protein needs to make up the major portion of the patient’s menu, and the guideline will be set as a minimum, rather than a maximum amount per day — as much as 2 grams per kilogram of body weight. The physician will determine the recommended amount for each person, depending on their over all health and their specific needs.

PHOSPHOROUS begins to be a consideration once dialysis begins, also. Foods to avoid based upon phosphorous content are dairy products, whole grains, bran and barley, nuts, coconut, figs and dates, raisins, salmon, sardines, oysters, and organ meats.

How many of you who have been on thyroid medicine have lost weight?

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

I have about 30 lbs to lose, and I have been on thyroid medicine for a few weeks and have lost about 2 lbs. I exercise regularly and try not to eat excessively, (about 1600-1900 calories a day, and I’m moderately active). Has anyone had luck losing weight after being diagnosed with a thyroid condition and starting on medication?

My sister had very good luck. Just have some patience.

Does anyone have any great weight loss tips?

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

I plan to start running and do the normal leg, stomach and arm exercises. I dont have any at home equipment besides some weights. I want to work my way up to running 3 miles a day. Im the type of person where I get full very fast, and not even after eating much but then I am hungry again 2 hours later. This is why I tend to be munching on food all day. Does anyone have any tips on great exercises or foods to eat that helped you that may help me reach my goal?

Hello,

I also need to eat frequently. What I normally do is stay away from dairy products- that has helped a ton! For calcium, I just take a supplement or eat broccoli (has lots of calcium). Brown rice is super good- gives me lots of longer lasting energy and fills me up more so than bread, pasta or white rice.

What weight loss program helps you detoxify and loss weight at a good rate?

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

I want to detoxify my body and loss weight healthily and rapidly. I want to lose 90 lbs by the end of the year.

I did fatloss4idiots diet plan and I lost about 50 pounds in not even 3 months. And I’ve kept it off for almost 2 years now. I found it to be the easiest diet because it pretty much told you what you could and couldn’t eat and you didn’t have to count points or anything like that. What I lost really isn’t typical for the amount of time I did it but I know others who have done it and they got really good results from it as well.

Adidexin, diet pills – ways to lose weight?

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

I’ve been taking Apidexin, (diet pill)
for three days and really cutting down on my food.

What exercise can i do thats fairly simple that burns calories?
I’ve been doing weights and 200 sit-ups before bed.

I’m thinking of doing a three day detox starting tomorrow using the "Detoxufree" pills that came with the apidexin, But how should i do it?
Just not eat for three days and take the pills?
Should i drink fruit juice and water?

please recommend any kind f simple exercise and detox plan
Thanks

the best way to lose weight is a good diet and exercise- diet pills are just fad items that may be dangerous to your health

you should warm up for 30 minutes walking/jogging on a treadmill or outside, then do some lifting, floor exercises and finish up with some more cardio, like basketball

don’t to the hardcore work outs during a detox!

What is the 3 day diet menu for QUICK WEIGHT LOSS?

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

I have a friend that mentioned a 3 day diet where you eat hard boiled eggs, raw green vegetables, an orange, and either beef or chicken everyday for 3 days. Where can I find more details and an explanation of how much, etc???

Diet Schedule:

1. Commit to consuming 4 – 6 small meals and snacks everyday.

2. To succeed, you must plan ahead by packing your foods the night before. Thus, you should always have fresh and low-fat foods around.

3. Keep it simple. Don’t get too caught up on the specifics or your diet. Start by simply just counting calories.

4. Eat your foods slower.

5. Make healthier food selections like fruits, vegetables, whole grain cereals, and beans, low-fat or nonfat dairy products, low fat meats, fish and skinless poultry.

6. Avoid foods that are high in fat and calories.

7. Avoid foods that are high in sugars such as pastries, candy bars, pies and candy.

8. Use a variety of fruits and vegetables in your nutrition plan. Start by trying to eat 5 total vegetable and fruit servings every single day.

Exercise:
daily Exercise is necessary.

Jogging, Swimming and 15 minutes walking will be enough.

When trying to lose weight, how do you make sure you lose FAT instead of MUSCLE?

Saturday, February 27th, 2010

I’m pretty toned underneath the fat, but when I’m losing weight, how do I make sure I keep the muscle and just lose the fat? I’ve heard different stories like you lose fat first, and then other stories about you can lose muscle too?

Any advice, tips, etc?

Firstly, there are quite a few incorrect answers here. It is much easier to lose muscle than it is to lose fat and it is also much easier to gain fat than it is to gain muscle (in most cases).

It is very difficult to maintain all your muscle mass when losing weight, but with the correct diet and adequate amounts of protein (at least 1g/1lb of body weight) as well as performing strength training at least 3 times per week, your weight loss should not be more 10%-25% muscle loss (at least 75%-90% should be fat loss). If you are losing too much muscle, then you need to increase your protein/carb intake and do more strength training and less cardio. You should not lose more than 1lb-2lb per week otherwise you will be mostly likely losing muscle. Good luck.
