Diet that reduce chances of getting cancer?
Hi, I am working in a lab and always dealing with carcinogenic reagents. Besides preventing direct contact, is there any food/ supplement that i can take to reduce chances of getting cancer?
Ermm…thanks but I am a vegetarian…
If your statement is right and you are working in a lab with cancer causing agents, then you already know the answer. There is NO diet that can prevent, or cure cancer. No matter what some herbalist say or homeopaths say, it is not right. I know because I believed the same thing and while being a complete fool and really thinking "maybe they’re on to something." I used a so called herb to prevent cancer. Well, that didn’t work out so well. While on it after 1 yr. I developed breast cancer. Makes you wonder, what really was the cause. I know I’ll never fall those stupid scams again.
ADD Lo-Mcg. I just read your answer and I have to say, you made me laugh. I’ve never heard the saying "nonsense" I needed that.

A healthy diet is always vital, but it won’t stop you getting cancer.
There are no foods or supplements proven to prevent or reduce the risk of cancer. Similarly there are no foods proven to cause it, or to affect the course of any cancer – even if a diet high in red and processed meat is a known risk factor for colorectal cancers.
It is nonsense to say a vegetarian diet will reduce the risk of cancer.
I have been a vegetarian most of my life and a vegan for many years. I was diagnosed with an aggressive cancer after over 8 years as a vegan, and through breast cancer support networks have met three other vegans with breast cancer (one a lifelong vegan) and dozens of vegetarians with breast cancer.References :

There’s plenty of excellent science that chains the diet high in a variety of original vegetables and fruits as protective against a number of different cancers. I had the same discussion at a methodical meeting with one of the MD researchers for the American growth Society in Atlanta about 2 weeks ago. See the updated reference from the World growth Research Fund and the American Institute for growth Research. This is real, and really vital. Keep reading and learning,
best to you,
