If we elected a leader who was of a vastly different faith than the majority, would you follow their edicts?

if they imposed their practices on the nation??
If they outlawed abortion, imposed a vegetarian diet, directed public monies to teach their dogma in schools?
Somehow I knew the veg mention would get people’s attention!
No, I ask because I am very concerned by candidates stating that they believe our actions, like war, or laying pipe, are the will of the Christian God. Just wondering how those who concur with this would react to another religion legislating other "wills."

Yeah, because if they did that, they’d probably have the military enforcing those edicts.
Seriously, vote liberty. And second ammendment rights, so if they do try to do something like that, they won’t come in your house.

The President doesn’t rule by edicts, this isn’t a monarchy. Even Bush has been hampered by the law of the land.

Yes, because faith is relatively unimportant when it comes to running the country… they other other more important problems to worry about.
Unless they have a pastor that is "like an uncle to them" who thinks that America should be bombed, Jesus was a black man, Obama is like Jesus, and who hates white people only for the reason that they are white.

It would destroy what is left of our economy because of the impact on Science research and academic freedom. All the other industrialized nations are surging ahead in scores while ours slip.
It would be Unconstitutional but that should not bother anyone much.
