Thank y’all again!!
I am aware of all the risks, but all that matters to me right now really is to drop some weight quickly w/o starving myself. Anyone who has gone low-carb successfully??? Thank you!!
Stay away from it. Ull lose some weight…stop the diet and put it all and more back on again……..im a dietitian seen it all before……

Dieting is not the way to lose weight, after you get off the diet you’ll usually gain all of it back plus some more. My advice is to eat health, no fast food, lots of fruit, drink 8 glasses of water (though apparently this has been disproven it still keps you healthy), and run/exercise.
Hope it helps and best of luck!

Its a fast way to lose weight, I’ve used it myself…. just be careful when getting off it. Add back the carbs gradually of the pounds will come rushing back. Just a little tip. Now as for food. Meat of any type… I suggest lean meats so you lose more weight and don’t get sick from all the fat. Green vegetables. Eat tons of salads. You can have any dressings with I think 2 or less grams of carbs… as I recall ranch and italian are good picks and nothing that is non fat. You can have butter on this diet so enjoy it. As for sweets, buy some sugar free jello and real whipped cream to feed your sweet tooth. This diet is all about limiting carbs but it doesn’t mean you still can’t eat good food so make it fun and good luck.

I just went back on the diet after three years keeping the weight off. It’s going great.
I’m not doing induction this time around, so my list won’t match what’s in the book. However, I’ve lost five pounds in the last four days, so I think it could work.
What I bought at the store-
eggs
cheddar cheese, swiss cheese
pepperoni
peanut butter
meat – any kind at all
cantaloupe
honeydew melon
broccoli
cauliflower
brussel sprouts
zucchini & summer squash
salad & dressing (check the carbs on the label. Blue cheese & creamy italian garlic from Marie’s are usually the best)
low carb ketchup
low carb pitas
mayo
butter
splenda packets
Three things that really make it bearable are mashed cauliflower which I now prefer to mashed potatoes. I put cheese, butter & seasoning in it. Mmm.
Also, I make crustless quiches filled with whatever I have that’s allowed. Then when I’m in a hurry I can just heat up a slice & go.
Lastly, when I want a sweet, there are a bunch of recipes at the site below.
