when i didint have a car i would walk to work for 40-50 minuets and the rest on the metro, i would watch my calories and slowly but surely I started to lose a pound a week. that come to a total of 40 pounds.

yeah I walked about 3 1/2 miles today and burned 300 calories. I think it is easier that way because when I run, I tend to stop exercising after I have run as far as I can which is embarrisingly only about a mile.

500 worked for me for a fast & short weight loss program: 20 lb in 2 weeks but 300 can be even better for you. It’s probably healthier to lose the weight at a slower pace anyway. Most of that can be walking. The only difference: walking is time consuming. most people make the mistake of exhausting themselves with running. It’s more important that you exercise multiple times a day every day than to do it just every other day or twice a week. Buy a pedometer if u don’t have one.

all that matters is …
all that matters is calories IN and calories OUT. I don’t give a hoot about “intervals”, “heartrate” etc. or whatever. u can crawl on the treadmill as far as I’m concerned, it makes no difference. Your treadmill shows how much you lost in terms of calories and your food label should show you how much you gained that day in calories. It’s just a simple matter of subtracting the 2. Your result should always be a min 500 cal loss/day for fast weight loss.

for real exercise all you have to do is eat less and run constantly for about 10-20 min a day or if your looking to gain muscle and your already the perfect wight then run 20-30 min a day at a steady pace with high incline and lift wights

im a trainer at LA fitness, and make it a hobby on answering questions like that on here, if your still in somewhat good shape then you can lighten up on the three miles maybe 2.5 with a 3.5-7.5 incline at a fair speed for about 20 min straight with no brakes if you have to take breaks then dont leave the treadmill just lower the speed to a lighter jogg of a faster walk on a higher inline for about 30sec-1m, message me for future questions

Stupid. Do a little research and you would find this will do more harm than good.
Just find a good training program, workout 3 – 4 days a week, eat 5-6 small healthy meals a day and get 8-10 hours of sleep a night.

well do alot of sthrenght training like go to the gym and lift weights at first i didnt know it would work but it does! and your arm muscles youll get results to them first and maybe you can go to dance classes because thats fun exercise and its cardio, or sports/swimming also good luck!

I don’t mean to sound insulting or anything, I’m happy that you lost the weight u wanted to, but I have to say 110 seems way too skinny for an adult. 120 to 125 is the healthiest weight if you happen to be short like me, I’m 5″3. But if you are taller you should weigh more. in fact you were already good to begin with, I’d kill to be 130!

I walked with someone for 45-1hour..speed walk everyday. The time flew by! It was mostly my diet that did it but i went from 130lbs to 110! I wanted to tighten up after so i started doing things like The Plank at my house
