Is it true that to lose weight, one has to burn more than their calorie intake?

if this is true, why is it that im becoming"too thin?"even though I am not burning exactly everything I eat off.

You don’t want to burn everything you eat off. You have a basic amount of calories you should be eating a day that will maintain your weight. For an average adult female, it’s roughly 1500 calories. This varies a lot depending on how much the person weighs and how old she is. So in order to stay the same size, she needs to eat 1500 calories a day. If she works out, then she will need to eat more or she will loose weight. You should only be burning off anything over 1500 calories. If you are trying to loose weight, then you would lower your daily minimum to something like 1400. Then anything over that, you need to burn off with exercise.

So no, it’s not true in the way you’re thinking it’s true. Your body will naturally burn about 1500 calories a day with you just sitting around doing this or that. Then anything over that is up to you.

Yes. But if you are losing weight, perhaps you have undercalculated the amount of calories you need a day or you have a high metabolism.

Don’t forget that your body will still burn calories even if you don’t do anything at all. You only need to burn off the excess calroies after that. Also, as you gain muscle, your body will use up more calories while at rest.

Use vegetables to make hefty meals. Like pasta salad loaded with vegetables like broccoli, carrots, and tomatoes can be eaten twice. Same applies for stir-fries; add vegetables to make a fluffier omelet.

    Carbohydrates cause Fattening
The most infuriating but true fact about gaining fat is that most of it caused by carbohydrates and not fat. When you eat food with more energy than you need, it is transformed to fat and stored in the body. Carbohydrates have lower metabolism cost than proteins, therefore they are more likely to be stored in the body than used up. ‘Metabolic cost’ is the energy that a food supplement needs in order for the body to unlock and use the energy that the food supplement contains. This is the main reason why health experts will advise you to take in foods with calories, but engage in activities and exercises that will ensure that the energy you take in is burned up and not stored.
