How do I calculate my pregnancy weight gain if I lost weight in the beginning?

I am overweight and I lost 15 pounds in the first trimester, and I have just now gotten back to where I started so do I count that as a gain of 15 pounds, or do I say I netted 0 weight gain?

generally we’re adding weight we’ve gained onto our pre-pregnancy weight so in your case
you haven’t gained a thing, which is probably just fine considering you were overweight to begin with

Your weight is the weight you started at or the weight you were when you discovered you were pregnant. You would have a net gain of zero pounds.
