The Truth about Diet and Weight Loss

2 The Truth about Diet and Weight LossThe Truth about Diet and Weight Loss

I want to talk tonight about weight loss. It’s a subject everyone is worried about. And the problem is that diets don’t work. Everybody has tried a diet. I haven’t met a person yet that’s hasn’t tried something, from kids to people in their eighties; everybody has tried some kind of diet and they just don’t work. In recent studies when they looked at a lot of their major diets (some excellent one’s, Atkins, The Zone), they place them all together statistically and found a ten pound weight loss on mean. Now, these people lost a hundred pounds and gained it back of course. But, all that work, all that money, all those videos, for ten pounds of weight loss?

So the truth is, we have to find a life style that will allow you to stay at a weight that is healthy for you. That’s a much different way of thinking than all this crash dieting that goes on. What you have to learn is how to take care of yourself; you have to learn the appropriate foods; you have to make better choices. That’s the only way it’s going to work.

    (1) Eat three sensible meals a day; preferely turkey salads, turkey sandwich, home-made vegetable soups,

    (2) Always… stay somewhat hungry after a meal, DO NOT FILL YOUR STOMACH.

    (3) Linking meals: Very moderated amounts of fruit.

    (4) DO NOT eat after 6 pm…

    (5) Exercise everyday for about 20-30 minutes, aside from your everyday routine (work, school, etc.). I do jumping jax, and I time myself for a total of 2-min. 10 times a day.

Very right brandobot … Very right brandobot. Cutting carbs just helps reduce water maintenance in the body. I am a huge fan of grazing throughout the day. The triathlete sitting in the chair bringing up the rear weight because of high BMR due to more muscle mass than the inactive person. I use vastmuscle (.com) workouts and they have nutrition tips that are based on science as well.

  16. brandobot says:

he’s right and … he’s right and incorrect, 3 meals a day is okay, but if you spurt for 6 it reduces your body going into starvation response

  22. Patel10314 says:

Again he won’t just … Again he won’t just come out and say that Dr. Atkins showed the way. If you eat Bagels and cereal or toast in the morning you will be converted into stout.

Fasting has other benefits besides weight loss. If it works for someone then they should use it. At least he doesn’t tell you to consume so many fruits and vegetables.

  23. wvd1979 says:

A large part of … A large part of weight loss is discipline. You have to make permanent changes in your life and your eating habits.

  24. ChinkyBlondee says:

CAN I BE YOU. … CAN I BE YOU. Please. Bahaha my body type is muscley so if I work out I look muscular which is BAD for my particular job. I have to try so hard to get the stick figure look! So dude, eat quick food and lots of bread, eat a lot of cereal and peanut butter, lots of saturated fats like butter and cheesecake, eat steak and add saturated stout to it like dressing, you can still workout but I’d keep it to strength training, cardio burns calories lacking the muscle.

  25. ChinkyBlondee says:

You know what you … You know what you do. Vegetable diet. Water and vegetables as much as you want whenever you want. AMAZING. I have never lost more weight in my life I went to a size 2 to a small 0 and huge 00 :) ..I’m 5’8 This might signal really odd skinny for you but I’m into modeling so if I don’t always have a perfect body, I don’t get paid. And when you do start back eating semi-regular it doesn’t all come back!!:))
