Rick Danko is most definitely a good singer. It seems like he never sings that verse the same way twice, but it always sounds great, no matter how he decides to approach it. Of all the Band’s performances of The Weight, this is probably my favorite version of the Crazy Chester verse. I love listening to Danko sing that part. If you don’t think highly of his singing, I recomend listening to other material by The Band.
